ACT Business Model
During the early years of ActForex history, major trading firms in the retail Forex industry did not exist but smaller firms saw a unique market opportunity and became interested in the concept of offering FX trading to individual traders (known also as retail traders), similar to offering trading equities or commodities to individuals. These small trading firms lacked financial resources to develop proprietary software and to build infrastructure and an IT staff. In order to accommodate this developing market, ActForex became a Managed Service Provider (MSP) by hosting its trading application and licensing white-label platforms to clients. Within that business model, ActForex’s revenue became tied mostly to trading transaction volume. Such major companies as FXCM, FX Solutions, and CMS all started as ActForex clients utilizing ActForex technology.
